When time it takes you for a ride
Longer still with foolish pride
Trapped inside your honest eyes
Release will catch you by surprise

So much you thought you really knew
Only to see you couldn't see through
The dirty glass
The haunted past

Sitting so long alone and scared
Wishing that you'd only dared
To hold him tight
To touch his light

No choice now but let him go
Hope there's someone else to show
All the things inside you soul
Before this life it takes it's toll

This was pretty powerful. Yesterday would have been my three-year anniversary with the ex, so reading this today makes me kind of sad.

Ah Jack, I'm sorry. You know it's funny, I actually wrote that 2 days before mine & my ex's 4 year anniversary. It was when were "on a break" I guess you could say. We ended up getting back together and had been until about a month ago.

This is wonderful and moving! It is good to get feelings out like this. Poetry is helpful and also captures a moment of your life in time. That is why I save everything, even if I think what I wrote sounds retarded!

Thanks Kewl! Yeah, I do save all my stuff. Some of it is retarded! :)
