I was thinking about Galveston, it reminded me that this is the first piece ...well physical piece of the falling apart. It has been approaching so swiftly, so quietly. But it's here now, its the beginning, Jason and Patti first to go their own way, next Kewl and Keoki, Kinseybug.... then Mom and Dad. I guess its an end to an era, and fragment in time, defined by a colossal story with a climax of an ending.
Dad said it best to Mom...(although he and I are not seeing eye to eye on much of anything at present time). We left Albuquerque for a new beginning 31 years ago, why is it so much different now.
The difference that is hard for Mom to grasp to, being the patriarch and diplomatic one, the part that aches for me to grasp being the youngest of the family with the life long presence of all my siblings is now the absence of each of each of you that is coming to pass...
Miss them yes, with a big empty hole, but I more miss the closeness we all once had in a monumental way, and will always wonder why our bond was so easily shattered by being mislead, I thought we'd always have each others backs.... what happened, why does it appear to no longer mean anything but to you, Mom and me?
Its not a question on will it be again much like you and your significant, but when will it be again.
Anyway as I said well written, I loved it tons! And just know I am not above cutting him if he doesn't do you as you deserve.
Jackie - I love this! Very well written, very touching, very poignant. It could easily be published or made into a song! I do hope you get all you deserve and do not settle for less. Love is a touch thing. We all want it to be but it is not! I learned about Agape Love - the love God has for us and we should have for him and each other. A love that is self-sacrificing, that is not necessarily easy but takes work, a love for the unlovable even! I would say Corinthians says it best with "Love is patient, love is kind.."
And Unconscious - I disagree with you. Jason and Patti moving is not the beginning of falling apart. They have moved before, I have moved before, yet we all stayed close to the family no matter the distance. Also - we are not moving. I also feel that we as a family DO still have each others backs. Just because people get mad at each other or disagree with each other as we all do, does not mean we do not have each others backs.
Of course you disagree with me LOL just kidding!
I was just simply pointing out that actions speak louder than words, and the actions seemed to me, and from my opinion to give the appearance of not getting each others backs as we once did regardless of being angry or not.
thank you for the compliments my lovely ladies! maybe the moving is just a new beginning to everything falling into place. I love all you guys so very much and know that no matter what we will always return to each other.
